Pluckley Old Stables
The sleepy countryside village of Pluckley is not only famous as the backdrop to the hugely successful H.E.Bates TV series “Darling Buds of May,” but also for its more ghostly inhabitants! Pluckley has earned the reputation of being the most haunted village in England (Guinness Book of Records 1998) and every year at Halloween tourists inundate the village hoping to see if they can have a supernatural experience of their own. Nevertheless the village remains unspoilt and picturesque with a warm welcome for anyone seeking a glimpse of the ’perfick’ life.
