Castle Acre is situated in the pretty village of Grosmont, next to the castle and across the road from the church, both ancient buildings of great interest. Grosmont castle is one of the castles of the three Castles Walk, which include Skenfrith and Whitecastle, which is a good two day walk. Also close to Offa's Dyke walk. Roughly between Hereford and Abergavenny, Grosmont is in lovely countryside. Castle Acre is comfortable with two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. There is a pub in the village "The Angel" which does dinner and is very friendly. There are also a number of very good restaurants in the area, including the famous Walnut Tree, the Bell at Skenfrith and several other good and well know places. You will recieve a warm welcome at Castle Acre comfortable beds and a good breakfast!
