Duns Castle

We have full licensing as a wedding venue and for corporate events, private stays and parties. Our residential accomodation is available for small as well as larger groups. If you are looking for a perfect romantic wedding venue in Scotland, Duns Castle is a beautiful setting for that special day. Historic 14th century Duns Castle is situated in the heart of the rolling hills, fields and forests of the beautiful Scottish Borders on the edge of the little market town of Duns. We have total seclusion although shops bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The family of Hay have owned the Castle since 1696, and along with their dedicated staff welcome guests to their home. The castle retains a very intimate and personal feel, in spite of its historic grandeur and furnishings. The quiet professionalism of the staff make guests immediately welcome and comfortable. The main Castle sleeps up to 23 and there are ancillary cottages sleeping up to a further 25. Groups of up to 60 may be seated to dine in the Great Hall. There are ample grounds for marquees, sporting and leisure activities. Mansefield House, Arrochar, Loch Long

Mansefield House, situated in the picturesque highland village of Arrochar, on the shores of Loch Long, is a fine Grade B listed Victorian house. Large gracious reception rooms with high ceilings and ornate cornicing lend themselves to entertaining, while the main character of the house is warm, comfortable and homely. The house stands in an elevated position with large private gardens of mature shrubs, trees and lawns. Mansefield House has uninterrupted views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East. In the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, activities such as walking, climbing, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, sailing and various other watersports are on the doorstep, while the centre of Glasgow and its abundance of culture is only a 45 minute drive away. Oban and the Isles are only an hour away by car.
